MACON, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say two brothers are dead after they were struck by a freight train in central Georgia.
The Telegraph of Macon reports the men died Saturday afternoon. Bibb County sheriff’s Sgt. Linda Howard said they were apparently walking along the tracks when a Norfolk Southern train hit them.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones identified the men as 27-year-old Cory Dale Cranmore and his brother, 20-year-old Brian Darryl Cranmore. Both lived in Macon.
A car belonging to one of the brothers was found near the scene. Police are investigating the fatal collision.
