SCOTTSBLUFF — A 29-year-old Scottsbluff man is accused of holding a woman against her will Sunday.

Brett Armstrong is charged with burglary, a Class IIA felony; strangulation, a Class IIIA felony; second-degree false imprisonment, a Class I misdemeanor.

According to an arrest affidavit filed in Scotts Bluff County Court, police responded on Sunday, at about 4:48 p.m., to an apartment in the 1100 block of 15th Avenue. An officer observed a woman had burises on her cheek and chin. The woman alleged that Armstrong had broken into her apartment by breaking her back window.

The woman alleged that the man had tackled her on her bed and held her down, keeping her against her will for over an hour. She alleged that Armstrong had choked her, causing her to have trouble breathing, and had grabbed her face so hard it caused the bruising witnessed by the officer.
