Graduation 2019 is on School Board agenda

August 27, 2018

The Aiken County School Board will consider the location for 2019 graduations and policy changes for support and professional staff Tuesday at its regular meeting.

The Board will meet at 7 p.m. in the Aiken County Public Schools’ district office at 1000 Brookhaven Drive.

The school district has held graduation ceremonies in the Convocation Center at USC Aiken since 2009. The district’s seven high schools have supported the location, and the Convocation Center has been very accommodating, according to the agenda.

The Board also will vote on a change order for the 2018 flooring at Jefferson Elementary, LBC Middle and Silver Bluff High and a budget adjustment.

Under individual items, the board will consider on second reading changes to personnel policies, including resignations and evaluations for support staff and contracts and compensation for professional staff.
