OTTAWA (AP) _ Canada's unemployment rate fell to 8.0 percent in November, down from from 8.1 percent in October, to reach its lowest level this decade.

The government reported Friday that the economy gained 103,000 jobs, mostly full-time, to bring this year's employment growth so far to 425,000. It was the fifth straight month employment has increased.

Jobless rates in the 10 provinces ranged from 18.2 percent in Newfoundland to 5.5 percent in Manitoba. In Ontario, the most populous province and the leading manufacturer, the rate was 6.9 percent.
