Naomi R. Cullins, 93, of Bradley, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 7, 2018) at her home.
She was born July 14, 1925, in Palmer, Tenn., the daughter of Lester J. and Ella C. (Cookston) Tate. Naomi married John Cullins on May 8, 1947, in Mount Vernon. He preceded her in death April 25, 1997.
Naomi retired from Riverside Medical Center in 1987 and after that became a homemaker. She loved taking care of everyone in the family. Unconditional love encompassed her.
Surviving are one son, Bob Cullins, of Bourbonnais; one daughter, Janet Sue Cullins, of Bradley; one daughter-in-law, Diana Cullins, of Florida; two sisters, Bonnie Kluck and Sylvia “Grace” Smith, both of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren, Gary Cullins, of Florida, Trent Cullins, of Normal, Traci (Brian) Hassett, of Fairbury, Dawn Luebeck, of Bradley, Jeffrey (Aubrey) Cullins, of Overland Park, Kan., and Brian (Megan) Cullins, of Overland Park, Kan.; great-grandchildren, Abigail (Dan) Schweizer, of Fairbury, Anna Hassett, of Champaign, Nikolas Hassett, of Fairbury, Eva Cullins, of Bradley, Bella Cullins, of Bradley, and seven others; and one great-great-granchild, Malcom Schweizer, of Fairbury.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Gary Lee Cullins and Henry “Bruce” Cullins; four sisters; four brothers; and one great-grandchild, Rebecca Rae Hassett.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Schreffler Funeral Homes, Bourbonnais Chapel. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
