Scottville to talk recreational marijuana
SCOTTVILLE — The topic of recreational marijuana and its potential place in Scottville’s economy following the passing of Proposal 1 will be discussed Monday by city commissioners.
City Manager Amy Williams said the default position is to opt in to allowing recreational marijuana dispensaries to operate as businesses within each Michigan municipality. In the event that the city decides to formally opt out and not allow dispensaries to operate, an ordinance would need to be passed by the commission.
