U.S. Nordic Teams Announced

PARK CITY, Utah (AP) _ Eight Olympians and the youngest ski champion in American history were among those selected to the 11-member U.S. Nordic ski teams Tuesday.

Three-time Olympic cross-country racer Nina Kemppel joined Justin Wadsworth and Marcus Nash, gold medalists in the cross-country sprint at the inaugural Winter Goodwill Games in February, on the cross-country team.

Clint Jones, who became the youngest American national ski champion when he won the large hill jumping title in March at the age of 15 years, five months, 21 days, is joined by Alan Alborn, Brendan Doran and Rhys Hecox on the ski jumping team.

Three-time Nordic combined World Cup winner Todd Lodwick joined Bill Demong, Kristoffer Erichsen and Carl Van Loan on the Nordic combined squad.
