Kankakee man’s bond set at $250K following drug arrest
KANKAKEE — Sammy R. Clark, of Kankakee, was arrested by Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group agents after they found 112 grams of suspected cocaine and 66.3 grams of suspected crack cocaine during a search of his home on Monday.
The 60-year-old Clark was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. If convicted, Clark faces 9 to 40 years in prison. Judge Kathy Bradshaw-Elliott set Clark’s bail at $250,000.
According to Prosecutor Erika Hamer, the cocaine recovered had a street value of $17,280.
Agents also recovered several thousand dollars in cash and five firearms in Clark’s home, located in the 1900 block of Marmion Drive.
