WVC LACROSSE ROUNDUP: Prep Edges Dallas

Greg Fisher tied his season high with six goals, Chase Stephens added two, and Scranton Prep ended its regular season with an 8-7 win at home over Dallas in WVC boys lacrosse Tuesday.

With the win, Scranton Prep (11-5, 10-2 WVC) leapfrogged Dallas for the third seed in the District 2 Class 2A tournament.

Hunter Landon had a hat trick, while David Lipinski scored twice for the fourth-seeded Mountaineers (12-6, 8-4 WVC).

DALLAS: Goals — Hunter Landon 3, David Lipinski 2, Nick Solinsky 1, T.J. Herron 1. Assists — Solinsky 1. Saves — 8.

SCRANTON PREP: Goals — Greg Fisher 6, Chase Stephens 2. Assists — Michael McGrath 2, Luke Brunetti 2, Fisher 1. Saves — Kyle Reihner 11.

Girls Lacrosse

Bailey Fedun scored with 1:01 remaining in overtime, capping a six-goal night and Delaware Valley’s regular season with a 10-9 victory at home over Scranton Prep in WVC girls lacrosse Tuesday.

The Warriors (12-6, 10-2 WVC) finished the season tied for second in the league with Wyoming Area and Lake-Lehman. They’ll open their four-team Class 3A subregional tournament as the second seed.

Skyler Padgett added two goals in Del Val’s seventh win in eight games.

Scranton Prep (11-3, 9-3 WVC) saw its six-game winning streak end as the team earned the fourth seed in the District 2 Class 2A field.

Elisa Kopicki had a hat trick in the Classics’ loss. Katie Malone added two goals.
