Orchids and Onions: Thursday, August 30, 2018

August 30, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to Jeffrey Lysdale, a tip-top dentist and to all the super gals that work for him. Good group. L.G.

Orchids to Alana, Chris and crew at the Courses. The glow ball tournament was awesome and fun for all ages! Only sorry to say I waited this long to play it! See you next tournament. The Underwoods.

Orchids to PA Nikki Ballentine and Nurse Mary at Lake Havasu Dermatology for solving long suffering problem with one treatment. H.T.

Orchids to Leslie at the Smith’s self-checkout. She is always friendly, has a great smile and very helpful. A wonderful asset to the Smith’s store and all of us shoppers. Thank you Leslie. Bev H.

Orchids to Hospice of Havasu and the Polidori House for the care you gave to my mother. I couldn’t have asked for more in her final days. I will always remember your kindness. Also to Lake View Terrace for the care you gave my mother from when she moved in until her final days.

Orchids to Doug at Connected Computer. We have used Connected for many years. Doug always makes time for me and I truly appreciate him. June

Onions to not removing political signs in a timely manner.

Orchids to Dr. Cary Buckman, Beth and Animal Hospital of Havasu for saving Merry. You were great at keeping us informed all weekend. Merry and her Parents

Orchids to my boss at Havasu Dunes. Because it’s so hot, she has an ice cream truck there every Friday lunch for all the employees to enjoy. Thank you. Laree

Orchids to Gegory Noroa for the best job cleaning my yard. He came when he said to give me a price and also the day he would do the cleaning. Others don’t call back or don’t show up. Gegory is great. L.G.

Onions to grocery stores. A family of two should not have to buy five for the sale price. Please consider us old people.

Orchids to our favorite waitresses Jo and Marlene at Papa Bear’s restaurant. This restaurant is also one of our favorite places to go. Always enjoy the good food and service. It has that hometown feeling. The Chin-up Ladies

Orchids to awarding the Medal of Honor to John McCain. Write President Trump and request this be done. WP

Onions to the person who suckered people into attending a symposium and pay $50 for it. A huge waste of many people’s time and money. Desperate times call for desperate measures, apparently.

Onions to city employees testing the signals at Palo Verde South and Acoma Boulevard before 8 a.m. Traffic was backed up right as parents are trying to get their kids to school and people are running to work.
