Two new businesses coming to Dixon

November 30, 2018

DIXON – A couple of new businesses are on the horizon in Dixon. One’s a new spot to enjoy your java, the other is new place to buy your kicks.

Coffee Crush will be opening at 122 N. Peoria Ave., across the street from Dixon High School and in the former Domino’s Pizza spot, sometime in February, owner Shelly (Bonnell) Brantley said.

“We will have coffees, teas, baked goods and other food items,” Brantley said.

Hours are not yet set, but the cafe will employ about seven to 10 people, will be accepting applications soon, the 45-year-old Dixon resident added.

Brantley, who owns the building, says renovation has been underway since May.

The following month, Shoe Sensation will pen in the Presidential Parkway Plaza near Walmart.

The store is looking to fill a handful of positions for the new location at 1620 Miller Road including area director, store manager, assistant store manager and part-time sales associate.

The national chain also has a store in Sterling’s Northland Mall, 2900 E. Lincolnway.

Shoe Sensation Inc. was founded in 1984 and is based in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The company has more than 150 stores and 1,000 employees across 18 states throughout the south and Midwest.
