Mustangs get homecoming win
NEEDLES — The Needles High School Mustangs varsity football team defended their home field by beating the Lake Mead Eagles 46-0 during the homecoming game on Oct. 12 played on Branigan Field.
The win gives the Mustangs an overall record of 6-1 and a NIAA 2A South League Record of 3-1 and places them in second place in the league standings.
The homecoming event added a great atmosphere in the stands as fans were screaming and encouraging the Mustangs to give it their all.
“We came out focused despite all the homecoming festivities so we came out ready to play,” said Matt Fromelt Mustangs head coach.
The Mustangs travel to face their league rivals Laughlin High School Cougars in Laughlin, Nev., on Oct. 19 starting at 7 p.m.
