One Dead After Officer-involved Shooting in Longmont
One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Longmont early this morning.
Longmont police Deputy Chief Jeff Satur said the shooting occurred in the 2200 block of Pratt Street at about 4:30 a.m. today.
Satur said the suspect is dead and that an officer fired a shot, but said police are still trying to determine if the officer’s shot hit the suspect. Satur did not say what else might have caused the suspect’s death.
The suspect, who has not yet been identified, had broken into an apartment at the time of the shooting, Satur said.
The Boulder County Critical Incident Team has responded to the scene to investigate.
