RUSTON, La. (AP) _ Alisa Burris scored 19 points and had 14 rebounds Saturday as No. 4 Louisiana Tech beat Arkansas State 89-63, extending the nation’s best home-court winning streak to 47 games.
Amanda Wilson scored 16 points and also had 24 rebounds for Tech (20-3, 10-1 Sun Belt Conference), which moved a step closer to its sixth straight conference championship. Tamicha Jackson and LaQuan Stallworth added 16 points each and Monica Maxwell scored 13 as Tech moved a step closer to its sixth straight conference championship.
The victory also was Tech’s sixth straight and improved the Lady Techsters to 14-0 against Arkansas State (18-8, 10-2).
Tech rushed out to a 46-21 halftime lead, as State made just 8 of 29 field goal attempts in the half. The Lady Techsters used mostly reserves the rest of the way, finishing with a 56-34 rebounding advantage.
Four ASU players also scored in double figures _ Christina Barry with 14 points, Keeshia Evans with 11, Amy Towne and Jimmina Chatman with 10 apiece.
