Small business group endorses Ivey
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A small business federation has endorsed Gov. Kay Ivey in Alabama’s governor’s race.
The National Federation of Independent Business Alabama PAC announced Tuesday that it was supporting Ivey’s re-election bid.
NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash says Ivey was the “clear choice for Alabama’s small businesses.”
Elebash says that Ivey has promoted a pro-business environment and opposes “higher taxes and burdensome rules and regulations.”
Iveys faces Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox in the Nov. 6 election for governor.
Maddox has been endorsed by a prominent labor group.
The Alabama AFL-CIO announced last month that it was endorsing Maddox.
