Cody Agrees With Chargers
SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Cornerback Tay Cody, the San Diego Chargers’ third-round draft pick from Florida State, agreed to a three-year contract Thursday.
Financial terms weren’t immediately available.
The Chargers’ top two picks _ running back LaDainian Tomlinson and quarterback Drew Brees _ remain unsigned. Rookies and selected veterans have their first training camp practice on Monday.
Ed McGuire, the Chargers’ negotiator, wasn’t available for comment. Tom Condon, the agent for Cody, Tomlinson and Brees, hasn’t returned repeated phone calls.
Cody was a four-year starter at Florida State. He had six interceptions as a senior.
