Border Patrol Explorers host beach cleanup

May 16, 2019

The Fort Brown Border Patrol Explorer Post 975 recently spent time cleaning up Boca Chica Beach, collecting enough trash to fill a large dump truck.

The community service project took place on April 27 and aimed at promoting awareness on the negative impact litter has on the beach while encouraging Explorers to become stewards of the environment and ecosystem, the Border Patrol said in a press release.

The City of Brownsville, Brownsville Bait and Tackle, RGV Fishing area waterway cleanups and community members participated.
