Humble ISD cancels all after school activities due to severe weather, K-Park students being held until further notice
Due to flooding on several streets in the Lake Houston area, Humble ISD has canceled all after-school activities.
However, Kingwood Park High School is keeping their students on campus because Woodland Hills Drive and Northpark Drive were not passable as of 3:40 p.m. Other campuses are now experiencing delayed buses.
“All buses that serve Bear Branch Elementary, Foster Elementary, Elm Grove Elementary, Woodland Hills Elementary, Kingwood Middle School, and Kingwood Park High School will be significantly delayed taking students home today due to roadway conditions,” a district spokesperson said. “Buses have not yet arrived at campuses. We will send updates when buses leave campuses. Staff will remain on campus with students until they are safely taken home.”

Humble ISD officials sent out a text to parents letting them know dismissal will still on as usual and students may remain on campus if needed.
Buses are operating as usual at campuses other the seven previously mentioned, however some buses may be rerouted around areas where there is not isolated street flooding.
Staff will remain on campus to supervise students as needed until all students are taken home, a district spokesperson said. All students are safe, she noted.
