Meyersdale magistrate reports: Nov. 13

The following preliminary hearings are scheduled before District Judge Douglas McCall Bell in Meyersdale:

Driving under the influence

• Angela Jane Persuhn, 42, Glades Pike Road, Berlin, was charged Oct. 31 with driving under the influence on Oct. 28. State police noticed a motorist driving erratically and stopped her on Beulah Road in Brothersvalley Township. Her blood alcohol level was 0.25 percent. A hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Dec. 27.

• Francis William Moravetz, 26, North St. Clair Street, Ligonier, was charged Nov. 6 with driving under the influence on July 21. State police said Moravetz hit a guardrail while traveling on Cumberland Highway in Southampton Township. He said he passed out while on his way home from meeting a drug dealer. Two syringes were found in his vehicle, which he said he used to inject drugs, police said. A blood test revealed he had fentanyl and norfentanyl in his system. A hearing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Dec. 13.
