Geil Elementary hosting Back to School Bash
GERING — Geil Elementary’s annual Back to School Bash is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Food, bounce houses, activity stations, raffle baskets, and more. Additionally, in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week, the Booster Club is partnering with the Scottsbluff Fire Department to educate students and their families on fire prevention. The Bash culminates with a ping pong ball drop where hundreds of ping pong balls will be unloaded from the bucket of a fire truck with one lucky winner earning a prize.
The event is sponsored by the Geil Elementary Booster Club, the Bash is the Club’s largest fundraiser of the year. Funds raised goes toward operating expenses to fund initiatives such as classroom supplies, technology, and class trips. Additionally, the Booster Club hosts family events such as Donuts for Dads, Mornings with Mom, family movie parties, and more.
Geil teachers and staff, Gering High School clubs, Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) student-athletes, Gering Police Department, and others will host activity stations and games for Geil students and their families.
Geil Elementary School is located at 1600 D Street in Gering.
