Hungary’s Hosszu wins 200 free, 400 IM in Orlando
ORLANDO, Florida (AP) — Hungary’s Katinka Hosszu broke the meet record in the 400-meter individual medley and also won the 200 freestyle Thursday night in an Arena Grand Prix event.
Hosszu won the 200 free in 1 minute, 58.09 seconds, then took the 400 IM in 4:39.85.
American Mike Alexandrov won the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.71, out-touching Brazil’s Felipe Lima. Germany’s Yannick Lebherz broke the meet record in 200 free at 1:50.27, and Hungary’s David Verraszto set a meet record in the 400 IM with a mark of 4:16.03.
Jamaica’s Alia Atkinson and Canada’s Katerine Savard also set meet records. Atkinson won the women’s 100 breaststroke in 1:07.15, and Savard took the 100 butterfly in 58.50.
