Twice as many Americans have ‘very unfavorable’ opinion of Donald Trump over ‘very favorable’: Poll
A new poll released Monday found that despite a strengthening economy, 56 percent of respondents have negative opinions on President Trump.
Four in 10 people surveyed had positive opinions about the president, according to YouGov’s 2019VOTER survey.
This is a larger divide from 2016′s survey, finding 52 percent with an unfavorable opinion versus 44 percent with a favorable one.
Additionally, twice as many people had a “very unfavorable” view of the president at 50 percent, with 25 percent saying they have a “very favorable” opinion.
However, the results fall over a largely partisan divide with 92 percent of Democrats saying they have “unfavorable” opinions while 86 percent have “favorable” view.
Independents hold an unfavorable opinion at 51 percent.
The poll was conducted among 6,779 adults from Nov. 17, 2018, to Jan. 7 with a margin of error of plus or minus 1.8 percent.
