Germain Named Buffalo Correspondent
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) _ David Germain, a newsman in the Albany bureau of The Associated Press, has been named correspondent in charge of the AP’s Buffalo bureau.
The appointment was announced Tuesday by Albany Chief of Bureau Lew Wheaton.
Germain, 30, a graduate of Buffalo State College, worked for the Union-Sun & Journal in Lockport before joining the AP in Albany in 1988. He is a native of Medina, in western New York.
He succeeds Alan Flippen, who recently transferred to the AP’s General Desk in New York.
