Florence Police charge suspect in armed robbery
FLORENCE, S.C. -- Florence Police Tuesday arrested a suspect in the Monday armed robbery of a Florence convenience store.
Officers arrested Zachary Deon McClain at 12:42 p.m. Tuesday at his Gregg Avenue residence and served him with warrants for armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to a release from the agency.
At 8:40 p.m. a masked person entered The Breaker’s convenience store at 2074 West Evans Street and forced the clerk at gunpoint to turn over money from the register, according to the release. The suspect left the store on food hearing toward North Cashua Drive.
