Longmont Times-Call

A Longmont resident sent animal control a fax to notify them she was bitten by a dog while trying to break up a dog fight Thursday at Sandstone Ranch. Police do not know the identity of the dog that bit her.

Longmont police on Thursday investigated a felony menacing report in the area of Mountain View Avenue and Vassar Court. A man was arrested and taken into custody after an investigation.

Police responded Thursday to the 1400 block of Emery Street on a report of a suicidal female. Officers found the woman with a self-inflicted cut on her leg, and also found she was violating a protection order. She attempted to assault officers and medical personnel, and was transported to the Boulder County Jail once she was medically cleared.
