Derrius Guice tears ACL in Redskins preseason opener
Redskins rookie running back Derrius Guice tore his ACL in Thursday’s game against the New England Patriots and will miss the 2018 season, the team announced Friday.
Guice, a 2018 second-round pick out of LSU, was injured on a run play in the first quarter. He told reporters afterward that he was fine, but an MRI revealed the tear.
The injury is devastating news for the Redskins, which drafted Guice to fix their 28th-ranked rushing attack from 2017.
