Charlie Parr leads December lineup at Oak Center

OAK CENTER — The autumn portion of the Folk Forum concert series at the Oak Center General Store concludes with four concerts in December.

• Erik Koskinen returns to Oak Center at 8 p.m. Dec. 1. This singer/songwriter/guitarist from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan offers songs of the hardscrabble life in a style that mixes blues, folk and country.

• Corpse Reviver, 8 p.m. Dec. 8. This Twin Cities-based band, with Jillian Rae on fiddle and vocals, holds down a regular gig at the 331 Club in Minneapolis. Classic folk, with fiddle and banjo.

• T Bruce Bowers and Yazmin, 8 p.m. Dec. 15. Yazmin plays folk-rock with Latin influences, and Bowers is a founding member of the Big Top Chatauqua Club Canvas Orchestra in Bayfield, Wis.

• Charlie Parr, 8 p.m. Dec. 22 and 3 p.m. Dec. 23. Parr, who might be the top blues artist in Minnesota with his raspy voice and National Resonator guitar, grew up in the Austin area. He’s back in southern Minnesota for this season finale. Special ticket price: $18
