BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) _ Pittsburgh defenseman Janne Laukkanen returned to the Penguins lineup Tuesday night after missing 18 games with a strained knee.
Laukkanen strained the knee in the first period of a 3-2 overtime loss to Colorado on Nov. 13. The six-year veteran missed three games earlier in the season with a bruised knee.
In 14 games this season, Laukkanen has no goals and five assists.
Penguins defenseman Darius Kasparaitis also returned for the game against the Buffalo Sabres after sitting out three contests with a bruised foot and injured rib.
