The San Diego-based company said it had a loss of 16 cents per share.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $35.2 million in the period.

Halozyme Therapeutics shares have declined 13 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 34 percent in the last 12 months.
