Police: Georgia carjackers’ attack foiled by their bickering
DECATUR, Ga. (AP) — Authorities in Georgia say they’re searching for three argumentative assailants whose attempted carjacking of a 50-year-old man was foiled by their bickering.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports DeKalb County police say the man was ordered out of his car at gunpoint on Sunday when a second assailant slapped the gun from his accomplice’s hands, saying “I told you not to pull the gun out.”
The police report says a third assailant then appeared and he was grabbed, beaten and slashed by all three of them. But they kept arguing and the driver managed to flee. He told police they were still arguing about not wanting his Android phone as he ran, and they ultimately left without stealing his car, so he got back in and drove himself to the hospital.
