May 5, 1985

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (AP) _ Volunteer rescue workers Sunday pulled a third body from a rain-swollen river and continued to look for two other people missing after a car plunged into the water.

The victim found Sunday, a 23-year-old man, was discovered about 60 yeards yards from where the car was submerged in 25 feet of water after the Saturday accident, said Deputy Hopkins County Coroner Danny Perrin.

The bodies recovered Saturday, those of a 17-year-old boy and the 14-year- old girl, were found in the car. Two people survived the accident with minor injuries.

The crash occurred at 2:30 a.m. when the car left the road on a curve, skidded 110 feet and plunged 15 feet down an embankment into the Tradewater River, which was over its banks after recent heavy rains, said Perrin.
