GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) _ Jamie Wilson had two short touchdown runs and Rod Coleman and Kendrick Phillips scored defensive touchdowns to spark East Carolina to a 32-10 Conference USA victory over Memphis on Saturday.

Memphis (2-5 overall, 0-2 C-USA) was driving when Kelvin Suggs intercepted a pass by Bernard Oden at the East Carolina 10. Dan Gonzalez guided East Carolina (2-5, 1-2) to the end zone, completing passes of 29 yards to Larry Shannon and 43 yards to Troy Smith to set up Wilson’s 1-yard run.

Gonzalez’s 17-yard pass to Marcellus Harris with 14:06 left in the half capped a 95-yard drive that gave East Carolina a 13-0 lead.

Wilson’s 3-yard run 39 seconds before halftime was set up by a 24-yard pass from Andrew Bayes to Buck Collins on a fake field goal.

Phillips’ blind-side hit on Oden forced a fumble on the fifth snap of the third quarter. Coleman scooped up the ball and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown and a 26-3 lead. Phillips added a 49-yard interception return TD.
