Trumbull PD adds four new officers
TRUMBULL-Four new officers have joined the police and are in the process of completing their 400 hours of field training.
The officers, who recently graduated from the Connecticut Police Academy in Meriden are Samantha Bardos, Brendan Burke, Abigail Frazier, and Derek Laaser. There they completed over 850 hours of classroom and practical instruction, as well as physical fitness conditioning.

Police Captain Keith Golding said another three recruits are expected to graduate from the Academy in December but the department is still short of its 81-member authorized strength. He added that another 12 officers will be eligible for retirement soon.
Golding said the selection process which includes background investigations, and training takes more than 18 months before a recruit begins working on the road.
The police department is in the midst of the hiring process now and expects to have an
active list of candidates within the next several weeks, Golding said. Hiring information is
posted on the town’s website when the testing process is being scheduled.
