Police seek driver that struck pedestrian and fled
WATERBURY - Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a black sedan who hit a pedestrian May 3 on Huntingdon Avenue and took off.
The pedestrian suffered a serious injury but is expected to survive, police said. The accident happened at about 11:35 p.m. on Huntingdon Avenue about 100 feet west of the “Personal Touch Carwash” at 1359 Thomaston Avenue, police said. The pedestrian was struck by what was described as an older black sedan that was traveling east on Huntingdon Avenue, reports said, The car didn’t stop after the accident and instead continued east on Homer Street, police said.
The vehicle may have damage to the front passenger side highlight and front windshield.
