I-79 reopen after truck rolls over in ‘S’ bends
Northbound traffic was flowing through the ‘S’ bends on Interstate 79 about 9 a.m. Monday after a rolled-over tractor-trailer was removed.
The S-bends are just south of the Ohio River and Neville Island and run along the border between Robinson and Kennedy townships.
As of about 7:30 a.m., both northbound lanes of the interstate were blocked, and the rolled over truck was facing south. A PennDOT traffic camera showed traffic getting by slowly on one shoulder.
About 8 a.m., the truck had been moved to the opposite shoulder from traffic, but the two lanes were still closed.
