N.Y. Subway Workers Found Shot to Death
NEW YORK (AP) _ Two subway cleaning supervisors were found shot to death early Friday in a trailer at a Coney Island rail yard, and police sources said the killer may have been a former co-worker.
A suspect was being questioned, said Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, who did not give a motive.
Luigi Sedita, 61, and Clive Patterson were found dead by a security guard, police said. Patterson’s age was not released.
Two police sources who spoke on condition of anonymity said one of the men filed a report last year claiming a former subway employee spit at him. The employee, who no longer works for the transit authority, was upset over an evaluation had been given by Sedita, the sources said.
Police would not comment on whether the former employee was involved in the shootings at the heavily secured yard.
Police interviewed about 50 of the victims’ co-workers from the overnight shift.
