ABINGTON, Mass. (AP) — A 78-year-old man has died after his pickup truck was struck by a commuter rail train south of Boston.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority says the crash happened around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday in Abington.

Transit police say the train was traveling to Boston with 10 passengers onboard when it struck the truck at a crossing.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately made public. No one on the train was injured.

Police say foul play is not suspected. The crash is under investigation.
