Bank Makes EITC Contribution To F.M. Kirby Center
M&T Bank recently contributed to the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts as part of their participation in the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. This gift will support the Kirby Center’s Young People’s Theater Series, which is a key focus in the venue’s Arts and Education program. As the arts continue to be cut, or eliminated, from local curriculums, the Kirby Center is engaged in an effort to bring students and the arts together. The Young People’s Theater Series provides students in the community with access to national, touring productions that are entertaining and educational. This series is free, and each performance comes with its own study guide that brings the lesson from the stage into the classroom. For information about giving to the Kirby Center through the EITC program, contact Joell Yarmel, associate director of development at 570-823-4599, ext. 225.
