Man sentenced to 30 years in prison on firearms convictions
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — An Albuquerque man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for possession of firearms in connection with drug trafficking crimes.
U.S. District Judge James O. Browning sentenced 38-year-old Christopher Blattner on Tuesday and ordered that Blattner’s 30-year sentence run consecutively to a 28-year sentence Blattner is already serving.
Blattner received the 28-year sentence on convictions for second-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault on a peace officer.
Federal officials said Blattner was prosecuted as part of an initiative targeting violent, repeat offenders.
