Five Die in Massachusetts Fire
LYNN, Mass. (AP) _ Five people were killed Wednesday night as a fire consumed a multi-family home, police said.
At least five others were injured, including some who leaped from the second floor of the burning building, said Jessica Chartier, a spokeswoman for ambulance provider American Medical Response.
She said they were taken to Northshore Medical Center-Union Hospital. Their conditions could not be obtained immediately.
Smoke was still coming from the building, one of a number of restored Victorian-style homes on top of a hill, early Thursday.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire. Lynn is about 12 miles northeast of Boston.
