PRESIDENT TRUMP CLAPS BACK AT DE NIRO
WASHINGTON (AP) — He may have made progress toward a nuclear deal with North Korea’s leader. But it doesn’t seem President Donald Trump and Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro are anywhere close to achieving peace. Even as he wrapped up his summit with Kim Jong Un, Trump went on Twitter to clap back at De Niro, who F-bombed him Sunday at the Tony Awards and apologized to Canada the next day for what he called Trump’s “idiotic behavior.” In response, Trump called De Niro “a very low IQ individual.” He also says De Niro had taken too many blows to the head as a boxer in his movies, suggesting he might be “punch-drunk.”

JOHN TRAVOLTA - “SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER” PIZZA JOINT
NEW YORK (AP) — Some people feel you haven’t really visited New York City unless you grab “a slice” from one of the city’s many pizza joints. And some visitors say you haven’t really had a slice of pizza — unless you have one Tony Manero style. Manero was the character John Travolta played in “Saturday Night Fever.” And he literally doubled-down on eating a slice by getting two from Lenny’s — and stacking them atop each other. Lenny’s still draws tourists asking for double slices. And yesterday, Travolta was one of them. He joined hundreds of fans at a ceremony, during which a slice was named in his honor.

ROSE McGOWAN - TRIAL DATE SET FOR DRUGS CASE
LEESBURG, Va. (AP) — Jan. 15. That’s when Rose McGowan is to stand trial on a charge of felony cocaine possession. The court date is nearly two years to the day from when the actress flew into the Washington D.C. area for a rally against then-new President Donald Trump. She left on her flight a wallet holding what authorities say was cocaine. She denies the allegation, suggesting the drugs were planted as part of an effort by Harvey Weinstein to discredit her. McGowan was one of the earliest and most vocal accusers of Weinstein, saying he raped her years ago.
“AVENGERS” HITS MOVIE MILESTONE
NEW YORK (AP) — The latest “Avengers” movie has done something only three other movies have done. It has cracked the $2 billion mark in worldwide ticket sales. “Avengers: Infinity War” is just the fourth film ever to reach that milestone, joining “Avatar,” ″Titanic” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in the rarified, $2 billion atmosphere.
NEW YORK (AP) — ABC has ridden the coattails of an NBA champion to take the weekly ratings battle. The last two games of the NBA Finals were the top shows on TV last week. That can only make ABC suits wonder what might have happened if the clash between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers had been more competitive. The Warriors swept the Cavs to close out the series in just four games.
BARBRA STREISAND - “A STAR IS BORN”
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Barbra Streisand says if a story is good, it can hold up despite being told again and again. And the actress/singer says “A Star Is Born” is a good story. The movie is being redone for Netflix later this year. It stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Streisand says she likes what she has seen of the reboot because it reminds her of her 1976 version. At the same time, she says she likes the new elements in the upcoming movie.

NEW YORK (AP) — The drama students from the Parkland school that was the scene of a mass shooting in February have made another surprise stage appearance in New York. This time, it was at a fundraiser in Central Park for The Public Theater. The Monday event included a production of the play “Runaways.” At the end of the performance, the students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High were brought onstage and did a song written for a screenplay of “Runaways” that never materialized. The Stoneman troupe also appeared Sunday at the Tony Awards.

The caller said she didn’t know how long the toddler had been in the pool. In a social media post yesterday, Miller shared a recent photograph of himself and his daughter Emeline, thanking people “for all the love and support.”
