Goodbye winter: Crews begin spring street paving
HUNTINGTON — The smell of fresh asphalt greeted Huntington residents along Morris Street on Monday as part of the city’s spring paving program.
Crews from West Virginia Paving filled in holes and repainted lines along the section of roadway, from Rotary Road to 28th Street. Earlier this month, members of Huntington City Council identified 14 sections of roadway in need of repair, including Morris Street. That’s in addition to 33 sections of roadway that were not paved during the fall 2018 season. Crews are expected to pave approximately 4.7 miles of roadway before the end of the spring season.
