CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say five workers at a North Carolina business have been rescued after they were trapped by flood waters caused by heavy rain.

The Charlotte Fire Department said on its Twitter page emergency crews responded to a recycling business on the north side of the city Tuesday after it became surrounded by high, muddy water.

No injuries were reported, and the workers were brought out safely.

Video linked to the tweet showed rescue personnel apparently paddling a boat away from the building where the workers were trapped.
