Watertown swimmers fourth at host invite

Watertown’s girls swim team finished fourth at its host invitational on Saturday.

Megan Woodward led the Goslings with a second place finish in the 50 freestyle (25.49 seconds) and a third place finish in the 100 freestyle (56.86). The 400 freestyle relay team placed third in 4:06.29. Samantha Rupprecht finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:21.53). The 200 freestyle relay team of Katie Johnson, Rupprecht, Adri Hady and Hailey Mauel placed sixth in 1:58.21.

Seventeen personal records were also set. Those included Georgia Bailey in the 50 butterfly (30.64), Jade Bodary in the 50 backstroke (46.16), Ellie McDonnell in the 50 breaststroke (50.68) and 100 backstroke (1:39.67), Hannah Stubblefield in the 50 butterfly (42.06) and 200 individual medley (3:11.68), Naomi Vana in the 50 freestyle (32.11), Johnson in the 200 individual medley (2:35.93), 100 butterfly (1:07.93), 50 freestyle (28.49), and 100 freestyle (1:01.25), Nicole van Zanten in the 50 freestyle (31.54) and 100 freestyle (1:08.30), Raigan Good in the 50 freestyle (30.00), and MaKayla Galecki in the 100 freestyle (1:08.67).

Watertown travels to Milton for a conference dual meet on Tuesday.

Team scores: Waukesha West/Catholic Memorial scored 617, Greenfield/Pius 512, Greendale 454, Watertown 283, Beaver Dam 263.
