SHANGHAI, China (AP) _ David Gleeson of Australia shot a 5-under par 67 Friday to take the lead after the second round of the $500,000 China Open.

Australians hold four of the top six spots in the Asian PGA Tour event.

The 24-year-old Gleeson, who won Australia's 1996 amateur championship, was at 12-under 132 for the tournament, including a 7-under 65 on Thursday.

His shots were on the mark Friday despite strong wind gusts on the 7,767-yard Shanghai Silport Golf Club in the suburb of Kunshan, Jiangsu province.

Mexico's Pablo Del Olmo was second at 11 under after shooting a 65 on Friday. He had nine birdies and two bogeys.

Brad Kennedy is a stroke behind after shooting a 6-under 66, and fellow Australians Kim Felton and Scott Hend are tied at 8 under with Jyoti Randhawa of India.
