Coroner IDs man in moped crash
A 66-year-old Fort Wayne man has been identified as the victim of a moped-motor vehicle crash, the Allen County coroner’s office said Monday.
Dabe P. Maloley was operating a moped at Hanna Street and Paulding Road about 8 p.m. April 8 when it collided with a vehicle, the coroner’s office said.
Maloley was taken to a hospital, where he died about 5 p.m. Thursday. He died accidentally from blunt force trauma from the crash, the coroner’s office said.
Maloley’s death is the 14th fatal traffic crash of the year in Allen County, the coroner’s office said. The crash remains under investigation by city police and the coroner’s office.
No foul play in death: Coroner
The death of a man discovered by walkers in a field near Oakwood Drive Saturday is not suspicious, the Allen County coroner’s office said Monday.
The coroner’s office said no signs of foul play were found during an autopsy.
The office said it was still trying to notify family members. The cause and manner of death are pending, the coroner’s office said.
