Tickets available for Advocates Saving Adoptable Pets quilt raffle
HUNTINGTON — Serving to help area pets find forever homes, Advocates Saving Adoptable Pets (ASAP) has scheduled an adoption event Sunday, Jan. 6, at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.
The event is scheduled to be from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and will have kittens, cats, dogs and puppies available to be adopted for a set fee.
Along with adoptable pets, the event is hosting live music, a cake walk, face painting and concessions along with other family-oriented events.
One such highlight for the day is a quilt raffle, which features a donated a quilt (77 1/2 by 85 inches) made specifically for ASAP by Christine Emerson.
ASAP said in a release how Emerson has given her generosity to help raise funds.
Money raised from the event will benefit ASAP to help offset the costs for such items as f lea medicines, deworming medication and other needs for animals when ASAP helps save a pet through their services.
To purchase raffle tickets for the quilt raffle, residents can visit Bella’s Consignment Store at 1103 20th St. in Huntington or use the PayPal address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Checks to help further donations can be mailed to ASAP, P.O. Box 1621, Huntington, WV 25717. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $10 or three for $15.
