UNDATED (AP) — The NBA Playoffs continue with a pair of Game 5s tonight. Both are big-time swing games as Denver plays host to Portland and Toronto hosts Philadelphia. Toronto and Denver both reclaimed the home-court advantage with a series-tying road win on Sunday. The task now is to keep that momentum going.

DALLAS (AP) — In tonight’s NHL playoff action the Blues and Stars are set for Game 7 once again in a second-round series, three years after St. Louis dominated a winner-take-all matchup in Dallas for a spot in the Western Conference finals. This time, the Blues are coming off a win in Dallas and are hosting the Stars at home.

DETROIT (AP) — American League Rookie of the Year Shohei Ohtani (SHOH’-hay oh-TAH’-nee) will join the Angels in Detroit this week and could be set to make his season debut. The two-way star has been recovering from Tommy John surgery and isn’t expected to pitch this year. But his swing is fine and Los Angeles intends to use Ohtani as its designated hitter. Ohtani is expected to wear an arm guard when he bats and runs the bases.

DENVER (AP) — San Francisco lefty Madison Bumgarner starts at Coors Field tonight, facing the only team he’s beaten this season. He pitched seven innings at home to top Colorado back on April 13, but with each outing for the last-place Giants, speculation is increasing that they might consider trading the 29-year-old who was the 2014 World Series MVP.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cody Bellinger can expect to see a lot of time in the outfield for the Dodgers after coming back from a dislocated shoulder when they host Atlanta tonight. Travis d’Arnaud (dahr-NOH’) will work out at first base, and left field to help give the Dodgers extra versatility they’ll need with A.J. Pollock out for at least six weeks after surgery to clear up an infection in his right elbow.
