Association for Retired Law-enforcement Employees Seeks to Increase Membership

The Greater Lowell Retired Police Officers Association, established in 2009, is seeking new members. Any retired member of any law-enforcement agency who retired in good standing is eligible to join. There are no dues. The association focuses on good fellowship among its members and a sharing of information. It is a watchdog agency on the lookout for any legislation that may negatively affect retiree benefits and law enforcement.

The association includes members from local police, state police and university police departments, corrections officers and Secret Service. The association holds a luncheon meeting the second Tuesday of every month at noon at Charlie’s Pub on Cabot Street in Lowell.
