NEW YORK (AP) _ Quarterback Greg Kovar scored on a 2-yard run, and halfback Terry Underwood ran 6 yards for another score as Wagner beat Fordham 21-0 Saturday in the NCAA Division III Eastern Finals Saturday.

The Seahawks, 11-1, advanced to the semifinals against the winner of the Washington & Jefferson-Emery & Henry game next Saturday.

Kovar completed 12 of 26 passes for 212 yards with one interception. Underwood carried 29 times for 128 yards, gaining all but 20 of Wagner’s rushing yards.

Rodney Knight was the leading rusher for the Rams, 10-2, with 99 yards on 20 carries.

Kovar scored on his short run with 4:23 left in the first quarter, giving Wagner a 7-0 lead. Underwood scored midway through the third quarter to cap off a 54-yard, six-play drive that included a 33-yard pass from Kovar to Rich Johnson.

Tom Pugh scored Wagner’s final touchdown with four mintues left in the third quarter on a 1-yard run, capping a 56-yard, six-play drive. Kovar connected with Pugh on a 23-yard pass during the drive.

Wagner had 360 yards total offense to 233 for Fordham. The Wagner defense held Fordham quarterback Dave Olsakowski to 83 yards passing.
